Southwest Florida Football is here to offer all needed information for Florida Elite East District. Florida Elite East District contains teams that SWFL Football will not keep tabs on. While we will post scores from these teams, we do not plan on going too far in depth. Currently, there are 0 teams in Southwest Florida that play in Florida Elite East District. Most teams are located in the Tampa, Northern Florida, or Orlando area. Teams include the Deland Dawgs, Orlando Gators, Polk County Mambas, SOUTHWEST JUNIOR SAINTS, EAST TAMPA CARDINALS, LAKE WALES SEAHAWKS, POLK COUNTY PRESSURE, WEST ORLANDO JAGS, FLORIDA GOLDEN EAGLES, GTM HURRICANES, ORLANDO OUTLAWS, SANFORD ELITE, 352 CELTICS, DP PANTHERS, OCALA THUNDER, and OSCEOLA KOWBOYS.
While Florida Elite East District offers fewer teams in SWFL than PRC they do have the opportunity to travel around the state and compete against some of the best teams. FE has so many organizations that they have their own playoff system. Modeled after the NFL playoffs they have a divisional round, Conference round, and what they call the Super Bowl of Florida Football. This year they have not only separated it by conference but also by districts.
They follow the same unlimited weight system that is based on age. One big difference between the two systems though is FE actually lets the 6U team compete and keep score. In our opinion, this is better while we understand some may see things differently. They also keep personal stats and give awards to standout players. If your child is excelling at football you should strongly look into FE. While there are VERY competitive teams in PRC, most would struggle to do well in this league.
